Escherichia coli is a bacterium, that is mainly found in the gut of warm-blooded animals, including humans. Most of the strains are harmless but some may couse severe floodborne sisease. Escherichia coli infection is transmited through consumtion of infected food or water, such as raw milk and not coocked enough meat. The symptomps of sisease include diarrhoea, which can be bloody, abdominal cramps, fever and vomiting. Most patients recover within 10 days but in some cases it can become life-threatening.
